Hospitality education in Switzerland

There are several good reasons why Switzerland has earned the reputation of being host to the finest hotel schools in the world. Not only were Swiss hotel schools the first to offer such specialized programs as early as in the 19th century, but the Swiss have been able to maintain a special profile, with the combination of professional excellence and international business in a truly multicultural setting. Today the hotel and tourism industry is keen on employing Swiss-trained ‘hoteliers’ because of their ability to function in a highly competitive environment. Students from all continents study together at the Swiss hotel schools to ensure that they get a truly professional and future-oriented education.

ASEH’s responsibility is to ensure professional and academic quality standards for Swiss hotel schools, and it therefore controls all member schools on a regular basis in accordance with the standards of accreditation.
